Learning from relationships

Today has been nothing but rainy and lazy. I had every intention of getting up and knocking a lot of homework out but that just did not seem to happen. My best friend is coming to town to do a little shopping and grab dinner. So I am very excited about that and that it is the weekend. During the week my Mom sent me and my sisters the picture above. I love the picture above because I feel like every girl wants that to happen to them! So be patient ladies because your dream guy is right around the corner or maybe right under your nose. The picture makes me think of one of my favorite quotes…

“Later that day I got to thinking about relationships. There are those that open you up to something new and exotic, those that are old and familiar, those that bring up lots of questions, those that bring you somewhere unexpected, those that bring you far from where you started, and those that bring you back. But the most exciting, challenging and significant relationship of all is the one you have with yourself. And if you can find someone to love the you you love, well, that’s just fabulous.”

So with every relationship brings you something…good or bad. You will always learn something to use in the future. For example, I have learned in the last year what I am looking for in a man and what is normal behavior in a relationship. All the bad brings you someone that makes you forget about the past…and hopefully makes you have a romantic kiss in the middle of the street.

What have you learned in your past relationships or friendships?

  1. Love this post. I’ve really used my past relationships and friendships as substance in my posts, trying to turn those feelings (often negative and resentful) into something positive. Looking forward to reading more from you!
